Before you get too far into development, you should take this time to disable the Concrete CMS cache using the Cache Settings Dashboard page. It’s found in Dashboard > System and Settings > Optimization > Cache & Speed Settings. Once the site launches you’ll want to turn most of these settings back on, but especially when building block types these settings can make editing somewhat unpredictable. Best to just set them off for the time being.
