Google Map Block

Overview

Embed Google Maps with an API key for maps created after June 22, 2016.

Settings

  • API Key: Required for new maps.
  • Map Title: Optional title display.
  • Location: Enter a location for auto-complete suggestions.
  • Zoom and Size: Set initial zoom level and map dimensions.
  • Scroll Wheel: Enable zoom and drag functionality.

Board Block

What are Boards?

Boards in Concrete CMS are dynamic interfaces designed to display content in an organized and visually appealing manner. They function similarly to digital bulletin boards, where various pieces of content can be arranged, displayed, and managed efficiently.

How Boards Work

Boards are comprised of multiple components, each serving a specific function:

  • Slots: These are individual sections within a board where content is displayed.
  • Data Sources: Boards pull in content from specified sources, like pages or events.
  • Templates: Determine the layout and style of the content within the board.
  • Instances: Different instances of boards allow for the same board structure to be used across various sites or pages with varying content.

Detailed Process of Managing Boards

Creating a Board

  1. Navigate to Boards: Access this feature via Dashboard > Boards.
  2. Add Board: Enter details like name, template choice, and sorting order.
  3. Finalization: Complete the creation process by clicking 'Add'.

Selecting Data Sources

  1. Choose Source: After creating a board, add a data source from the Board Details.
  2. Configure Source: Name the source and specify data display preferences.

Templates for the Board

  • Layout Customization: Utilize different slot templates for varying layout designs within the board.

Board Permissions

  • Access Management: Control who can view, edit, or delete the board based on user roles.

  1. Instance Generation: Create an instance for specific site use or data subset.
